After getting ready of all the technical notes and supporting data in the evening, I rushed to LCCT airport for 1950 AirAsia flight. While waiting to board, we rested at the "Plaza Premium Lounge". I never paid attention to this lounge. So far I just thought that it was a cyber cafe and didn't give it a look in detail. If you have one of the credit card listed on the panel in front of the lounge, you can enjoy the service provided inside the lounge. As the list shows, for Malaysian, they just list AmEx Platinum credit card. Too bad. My boss asked if I have any credit card of those. Frankly, it is obvious that I am eligible to have it. In the end, I was paid to enter and rest at the lounge while waiting for the flight.
The lounge is very tranquil and cosy inside. You can enjoy the buffet inside. All the food, soft-drink, coffee, tea, beer and some snacks. To be honest, the food is not really that palatable for me. The pasta smelled nice but the sauce was too sour. The fried rice looked plain but tasteless. It was nothing different from white rice but with some “ornaments”. However, it was not really that oily and it was quite healthy. Apart from that, there were some sandwiches, Malay kuih. They were slightly dried and apparently left there for quite some time. For drink, the coffee maker was out of service. The beverage choices were limited to soft-drink, orange, guava juice, tea and some beer. Too bad the juice was the real fruit juice. In overall, the food and beverages were not really that attractive to me. Probably it was not that good for that day only.
Nevertheless, Plaza Premium Lounge offered us a quiet and comfortable ambience. It was really relaxing. Well, it needs you to pay equivalent work quality and quantity to the things you enjoy before the meeting.
