Huh?Increased investment in production and refining? Carbon capturing and storage technology works?

The International Energy Agency (IEA) estimates that $6 trillion will be needed over the next three decades to keep up with growing demand for oil and natural gas.

The impacts of global warming to the world are getting more significant. Is it the trend to promote renewable energy avoiding the disturbance of equilibrium of environment? The recent issue really piques my curiosity in the effort of the relevant industries on alleviating he effect of global warming.

Some companies intend to plough most of the profits into finding, producing and refining oil and natural gas. Will the companies be taking a very high risk? CityCars. Biofuels. Solar.

One of the technologies I really doubt of is the carbon capturing and storage technology. Is it really safe to be implemented? There's a significant effect on marine organisms when it is disposed into the sea water, ocean acidification. Besides that, what would it be if there's an leakage of CO2 which may lead to an explosion from the underground?

This technology can only be utilised for a short period but not long term. With growing demand for oil and gas and population, to what extent can this technology really help? Just in case, one day, there's a leakage from the underground, how would the climate be changed due to the sudden increase of CO2 in the atmosphere. Tsunami , tornado, flood ,storm, heavy fall of snow during summer?

Fallacious argument? Correct me if i am wrong. I hope i can learn sth from it.Thanks
